Being a teacher with knowledge of, and experience in,
dance is not enough. One must know how to transfer that
knowledge to the student. There are basic techniques and
disciplines that must be instilled in the student in an organized
and effective way. A dance studio is, above all else, a classroom.
It is a private school. Anyone can open one. Teachers are not
licensed. It is, therefore, the parents' responsibility to sort through
the offerings and select the one they feel is most suited to their
children's needs. It should not be done casually.
In my effort to teach and develop children, it has been my
goal to inspire and motivate them toward the enjoyment
and appreciation of dance. I try to give them special care
and guidance in preparation for life and with this in mind, I
strive to project the following ideals:

Client Testimonials
Our daughters have been taking dance from Ms. Nina for 13 years. Ms. Nina is the most highly trained instructor currently operating a dance studio in North Iowa, and our girls have benefited tremendously from this. Not only do we feel they have received the best dance education available in the area, but we love the work ethic that Ms. Nina has helped them develop. It has been fun watching them develop and grow as dancers and young ladies. If you want the best dance education in North Iowa, Ms. Nina’s is the place to be.

Mia has danced with Ms. Nina for the past six years. Ms. Nina demonstrates professionalism with good balance between discipline and fun-it is just an all-around great dance experience! Ms. Nina and her assistants have been great role models and promote positive self-image. Dance recitals are well-organized; our family and friends look forward to it every May.

This is the eighth year that my daughter, Grace, has been dancing with Ms. Nina. It is amazing to see how my daughter and her dance classmates have all grown in their skills, poise, and confidence over the years. To me, this is so important these days when girls get many mixed or unhealthy messages about body image and “beauty” from popular media. Ms. Nina instills discipline, strength, and a true sense of achievement through hard work, and I am grateful for her strong positive influence in my daughter’s life. I know that she will carry these important lessons with her into adulthood.
